MacBook 7,1, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, purchased August last.
Started running slow for no apparent reason. Shut down, rebooted. Apple image with bar underneath, got 3/8th across and then started across again, 3/8th again, shut itself down. Started it again in single user mode, did fsck -f, check stopped at Attributes file, said there was an invalid node structure, exited 'with signal 8'.
Rebooted with system CD and started disc verification, it reported there was a problem and recommended Repair Disc. Did that, and it reported couldn't repair and advised reformat disc. Did so and restored from time machine. Now working well, I think. This happened about 4 months earlier as well after which I merely restored the disc.
What do you think? Yes, I will take it to the local Apple reseller, but I should like your esteemed input first.
