Odd time machine bug.

I wanted to delete backups of certain files in time machine, so I highlight the files, go to "delete all backups" it prompts for the admin password (I am the admin and the only person using the computer)....but I cant actually click into the field to input my password, I cant even backspace the name, I can highlight it though.

I rebooted the computer, it worked twice, but after that no cigar.

help?
