I bought my Mac Book about a year ago. When I'm at school I often have a very strange problem with my wireless connection. According to the macbook I have a full connection, but when I try to load any safari/firefox/browser, I get an error that says that I'm not connected to the internet.
At first I thought this was a software issue, so I went to the IT people at school. They told me that it was a problem on my end. The thing is, when I'm in a common area at school the only people having problems are people with newer mac laptops. People with PC's and people with older (plastic cover) Macs have no problem. Everyone reports the same issue though. Full wireless signal, with no connection. Sometimes it will work great for about 5 minutes and then choke down and then will give us the same issue: "Not Connected to the Internet". All the while, we are at max signal strength.
If anyone can shed some light on this subject, please let me know.
