oddity after installing ext2fsx

I installed ext2fsx (a utility for mounting and viewing ext2 or ext3 linux partitions on the local drive) on my machine yesterday and have subsequently uninstalled it. However, after uninstalling it, the free space listed under my drives no longer shows up. I still get the partition size, but free space is not listed. 10.2.8, iBook 900. Any ideas of what I need to do to get finder to display the free space on my HFS+ drive? TIA.
