Oddity in airport connection

Hey all you unibody MB owners, got an odd problem. When I boot up my mb, or bring it from sleep, my airport connects, disconnects, connects and disconnects, then finally connects to my airport express. (note i have to wait almost 15 seconds before itll connect successfully. What gives? Any of you guys have any problems like this? Thanks
