Hello,

I have a macbook pro 5,2 and it works fine with Yosemite and a 160Gb Intel SSD that shows TRIM is enabled.

I recently (before Yosemite) put a Samsung 1TB Evo -- needed a bigger capacity SSD - and it is slower than the intel and TRIM isn't enabled anymore under Yosemite (I know why, no need to discuss this).

My question is where can I buy a 1TB "apple OEM" or "legitimate apple" SSD hard drive that not only would probably be faster but also have TRIM enabled under Yosemite?

Thanks!

you can enable trim in yosemite with trim enabler. it worked fine for me on my mid 2012 15" MBP.

anyway, check for OEM apple ssd's on ebay

Yes I understand that but as far as I know you need to globally disable some kind of kext protection under Yosemite to do do it. Not a very good trade off IMHO. Will check eBay, thanks!
