l bought new battery for mbpr 2012 (no longer supplied by apple) from icertified https://icertified.com.hk for mbpr, 880hkd, 680hkd for new speakers, so decided against it as 'not original' and they said only supply oem,
1. speakers will in ~3 years become damaged they said, as the driver degrades, as originals are quite poor quality in construction, true?
2. l always thought it was because some water got in the side speaker holes because of wet hands. they said not because of that(because of some water resistance?) but just usage over time. true?
3. also got told the battery drainage will be faster than normal, in first cycle, is this true? my last battery had 55% capacity and drainage was ~ same.
4a. icertified also recommended not shutting down the mac, just put it to sleep, thats all they ever do. it lengthens battery life. l told them this is not possible with pc laptops l had in past (windows 2000), which were much more like living things, which need a rest, shut down, so they are refreshed and energised. is it not the same for macs, just lesser so? so shut down perhaps once a month or when it crashes?
4b. does this shutting down also apply to iphones, ie dont shut down to elongate battery life?
5. PRAM resets for macs, speed up or refreshes?
thanks
