Off the shelf SSD compatible with Envoy Pro

I was wondering if anyone knows if any off the shelf SSD cards can be fit to the Envoy Pro that is compatible with the 2012 Macbook Pro (Model MAU3ENVOYPRO)?

Looks like I have purchased the wrong Envoy Pro.

Looks like that unit is only compatible with the SSD that was installed in the 2012-2013 rMBP. An "off the shelf" SSD would be one that has a normal SATA connection, right? Not compatible.
