Well I got the 1gb model and WOW.. its great and works as advertised
the box comes with all the standard fare such as a manual and install cd...
i actually hooked it up to my pc and configured it under that.... the install process was super smooth and easy.... after itunes installed the device synced itself with itunes which was great.... after that i had allocate 25 megs for files etc... but guess what, i plugged it in my ibook and what do u know... os x see's it as a removable storage device ready for file transfers... which is great b/c if i have to transfer files between pc and mac i can do so since the shuffle is formatted for pc... if it was formatted for mac it would only be able to be seen on the mac and not on the pc...
all in all it super fast in terms of shifting through songs... sounds OKAY, my 3rd gen sounds better with the eq set to rock in my opinion... and also no sound check... but hey in the end its still great
