any advice on 37 in Sharp Aqous vs 50 in Sony Wega. same price. sony is bigger. will be used in family hanging on the wall not top priority. but apperance matters and thin is a plus. comments?

I just got a 50" Sony WEGA...last years model at a discount. I've been looking at HDTVs for a while, and although I'm far from being an expert, I do think the WEGA is very nice looking for the money. If wall mounting isn't a concern, this is a great TV. Its not that thick, either, for a rear-project unit, and only weights about 50lbs I would guess.

The big question: how big is your room? You need to sit pretty far away from a 50", but both TVs are probably the same native resolution.
