Office 08 issue

now when i start office 08 on my mb, the "microsoft office asst" pops up and i cant begin the program. for instance ill start word, the asst will pop up, quitting word and ill be presented with the option of yes or no with participating with the customer experience program.

However, I can not start up office at all

what may be causing this? it used to always work now it wont for some odd reason

That's because you don't have a valid serial number at least I guess because some folks complained about that before and it was the problem..
