I've upgraded from Office 04 to 08, but every time I start one of the programs I get this:

database2.png

I then load Database Manager and I get no identities to fix - continue is greyed out:

Each program works fine once I've got rid of the pop up window, but it's just a bit annoying.

Any ideas? This is on 10.5.1.

Update - tried Entourage, even though I don't use it, to see if it would create a new identity. Except I get this:

After that I am taken back to the Database Manager where there are no identities to rebuiild.

This advice doesn't seem to do anything:

Let's go over a couple of basics first.
Entourage creates Identities where the Mac OS creates Users. Each Identity
contains a database file. Inside this database is all of your data.
Microsoft Office also has a Microsoft Database daemon that's used to access
Notifications (2004)/Reminders (2008). This daemon is used by all of the
Office applications. If you have Reminders turned on, then there should be
ONE Microsoft Database daemon in your Startup Items. (check in System
Preferences --> Accounts)
To rebuild the database hold down the Option key when starting Entourage and
select to rebuild your database. I will automatically rebuild your current
default Identity's database.

Holding down Option just makes the Database Manager open straight away, again with no identitiies to fix.

Ah, fixed it by trashing my Main Identity folder.

I stopped using Entourage 04 a couple of years ago and went to Apple Mail. I've got 2 gigs worth of emails in that identity from before 2005 so it's a damn good job I switched over to Mail or else I would have lost thousands of emails thanks to MS.
