office 08 question for those that have intalled

ok I am certainly not a power user so I have a few questions before I make the plunge.

#1 will my 04 word docs work in 08

#2 will my power point presentations work from 08. these were done on a PC and worked fine on 04.

I mainly use entourage to handle my multiple e-mail accounts. I use I cal for my calendar. Any potential issues there

how does 08 work with PC word docs. I use a mac for my teaching job and a PC with my other job.

For the most part no. It has been my experience over the years that going cross platform on simply formatted documents is fine. But if it elaborate it sometimes gets tweaked a bit.

You can also go into the preferences and set the default file format so that it's compatible with Office 2003 and 2004 (.doc, .xls, etc).

I've had no problems so far and I'm using older office files.
