office 2004 or 2008

I was just wondering if anyone still uses office 2004. I remember using it at school once and really liked it over office 2007 for windows.

Would it just be better to get 08 or try to find 04? The reason Im asking is even though I like that you can covert files on pages and keynote to doc/ppt, I would just prefer making documents that will be read in doc in that respective program so it doesn't have a chance of getting screwed up when read in windows.

Is 08 a mere upgrade or are there changes to it that would make it worth getting over 2004?

There can still be issues, but less of them compared to Pages.

I'd get 08; it's the UB version and runs much better on Intel Macs.
