I have this annoying problem with MS Office 2004.
It keeps setting the Spellchecker Language to Dutch even though I set the Default to English US.

I think I've tried every possible way to change it but it doesn't work.

-My OS X is in English
-So is MS Office 2004
-but I live in The Netherlands <-- [could be the problem here]

Would should I do?

The weird thing is that the language it self is English US but the Spellchecker is set to custom, but the drop down list shows English US marked.

btw I don't know if this is important but safari does have the US spellchecker.

Yes, if you enable Safari to "Check Spelling" it should default to English (US) for you.

If you don't use any custom settings in Word you might want to delete your Normal.doc and rebuild it from there.

Weird
It works now.

I did do some stuff like changing the keyboard input format and clicked edit to edit the custom dictionary but I didn't really change anything...

Well thanks for your help and time anyway Eidorian ;)
