I upgraded to SL from Tiger for over a year now before I decided to do a clean install of Tiger from the install discs that came with my iMac.
The trial version of Office 2004 was installed automatically on the 2nd install disc, and I decided to open it up again just to look back at how office was in 2004.
To my surprise, Word came up and told me that "The Microsoft Office 2004 Test Drive has expired." Wow... after repartitioning the disk with Disk Utility (to remove the boot camp partition I never really used), the information about how much time I had left on my trial still survived.
Seems extraordinary to me... wonder how Microsoft does it?
