Office 2008 deal for '04 buyers - Did MS move up purchase dates?

So I purchased my Office:Mac St. & Teacher Ed. in October, after the announcement of the Microsoft upgrade deal (just pay S&H). Stupid me: I waited until today to fill out paperwork. On the MS site, it lists the program is only valid for SKUs marked Nov. 1 2007 or later -- read: several weeks after the announcement.

I'm pretty sure the original announcement included purchases made starting immediately. Can anyone shed any light on this?

There were two different promotions. You've found the form for the second promotion. You need the form for the first promotion, I think it is this one.
