Office 2008 - how to completely remove it?

I'd like to remove it, so I ran the Remove Office app that comes in the package, but "Locating Office versions" will keep running, with nothing happening. If I click "Continue" to skip the searching it will return no results.

Is it ok if I remove 2008 with an app such as AppDelete and then manually look for any related files? Or is it not as good as using that Remove Office app?

EDIT: when I ran Remove Office for the third time, and now for like 5mins, it finally found it... strange.
