Office 2008 on Mountain Lion

I understand that there is an update I need to install for Office 2008 to work on Mountain Lion. Currently, opening Word, Excel or Powerpoint stalls after a few seconds and I can't get into them. I can only download this update through one of these - but obviously I can't do this because they won't open...

Anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!

Go to yourcomputer/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU and you should find the Microsoft Autoupdate program; double click it and it will fire up. Note that this is in the Library at the root level of your computer, NOT the Library in your user folder.

ah thanks even thought it says there is no update available for ms softwares.
