Office 2008 Schedule wont work in Entourage

I'm trying to set up the schedule to run every 1 min. I have it set for the below:

Repeating schedule
every 1 min


Under the action tab I have the email addys I want checked.

It just wont check for mail unless I click the send/recv icon./
