I have Office 2004 on my Macbook pro.

I would like to get Office 2008.

Do i simply buy the upgrade which is $240 or do i buy the Home edition which is $150?

I only need entourage, excel word and powerpoint.

Many thanks

if you like all the feature plus want more then buy the upgrade, however if you just want powerpoint, word, excel the really is no reason for you to even upgrade let alone buy the home addition. Everything you need based on your description is fully available to you.

Do you need Exchange Server support in Entourage? If so, then you have to do the upgrade, as "Home & Student Edition" doesn't support Exchange Servers. (It is also missing Automator workflows.)

buy 2004. no, really.

Buy Office 2004 for $140 then go here (click on "Super Suite Deal") and get the "special media edition" version for only shipping. Just do it in the next 2 or 3 days before the offer expires. it looks to me like a pretty solid deal.
