Does Office 2008 work in Lion? I just got a Mac Mini 2011 with Lion and I've been reading it is not compatible. I also called Microsoft and they said it was not compatible because it doesn't have Rosetta. Is this true?

Office for Mac 2008 WILL run on Lion (it doesn't require Rosetta). There are some known issues with both Office for Mac 2008 and 2011, but for the most part, both run fine.

The applications themselves don't require Rosetta. For some reason the installer does. So if the apps are installed when you upgrade to Lion you should be OK, but if you need to install them on a fresh Lion install you'll have issues.
