Office 2011 insert>Shapes Freeze...

KO, this issue is weird....

So Me and my friend installed Mac Office 2011 from the same source...

the thing is that when I use the menu Insert>Shapes Word freezes and I have to force quit word....but for my friend wverything works fine and smooth, no problems whatsoever...I have applied all updates ans Service Packs but to no avail..

Any ideas ?

I have the same thing. Both Word and Excel crash on 'Insert Symbol' or 'Insert Shape'. Very annoying.

I have: installed latest update, deleted duplicate fonts, deleted font caches, repaired permissions. No dice.

Further advice welcomed.

Just tried this out of curiosity...Have been tackling Outlook again since the update...Word works, Excel crashes as above....on my iMac and my MBA. As for Outlook, I think I'll leave it, seems like the update just made things worse Only suggestion I have is to uninstall it and reinstall without updating.

Paid a fortune for Office for Mac and it has never ever worked properly....I don't use Excel much, and I have Pages also...It's just annoying. Maybe the next update will repair these issues, but I have little faith.
