I recently upgraded for free from Office 2008 to Office 2011. When registering for the free upgrade, you get a customer number that goes along with your email and your registration. When they approve of your registration they email you a link with the download for Office 2011. This is how you download Office 2011. You can also go on the upgrade website and log in to your account using your customer number and email and then download it from there too.
I have lost all my emails (long story, and they are completely gone), and so I do not have my customer number anymore, meaning I have no access to my purchase/upgrade. I called support, and they were absolutely no help (no surprise). They redirected me and told me to email customer support. I have emailed but I have yet to see a response.
You would think they would put a link saying "Forgot Customer Number" but they don't have such a thing. Customer Number is no where to be found.
