Just updated Office 365, and now Outlook starts but the main window does not display. Have the Menu Bar options and could start a new message if I wanted, but nothing else displays.

Other Office 365 applications seem to work just fine despite this issue with Outlook.

Read a similar thread from 2014, and wondered if anyone has updated insights on how to recover Outlook?

You have my sympathy. I loaded the Mac for Office 2011 update 14.5.0, released around May 12, 2015, and had the same problem. I had to reload from TimeMachine. There is at least one other approach for Office 2011, involving a couple of Terminal commands, but it is not clear to me that it is a good or permanent fix. I also don't know if it would work for Office 365.

If you can roll back to the earlier version of Office, that may be your best choice, at least until Microsoft sorts this out.
