Office for Mac 2011 updated with Retina display support

Microsoft is announcing today that the company has optimized its Office for Mac 2011 software for Apple's Retina display. After hinting that a Retina display update wouldn't be coming soon, Microsoft surprised MacBook Pro Retina owners today with version 14.2.4 of Office for Mac 2011.

Sorry. MS said they were not going to support Retina in their initial correspondence. That is would be coming to 2013 Office or something.

Actually in the quoted part they said that they cannot comment on future updates. For some reason a lot of blogs and tech sites twisted that around as saying that they had no plans for a retina update.

Yeah they tend to do that. But I thought it was true thanks to believable greed motivation. Good for us though.
