Hello -

We recently purchased an iMac and installed the Mac version of Office for my wife.

She uses Outlook on the Web through Safari when working from home. However, she is unable to open a Powerpoint document from Outlook on the Web. It opens it in an HTML document rather than starting up the Mac version of Powerpoint.

She hasn't tested a word or Excel document, but I have a feeling the same thing will occur.

Any ideas on what to look at? I hate the though of install Office for Windows on the Mac so she can use Outlook on the Web through IE.

Thanks.

There should be an option to download the file. Once the file is downloaded, you should be able to double-click it to open it in PowerPoint.

No Mac browser will run PowerPoint automatically, for security reasons.

I thought the same thing and should have mentioned it. It doesn't provide an option to download / save as.
