Hi

I am considering buying a MacBook and selling my PowerBook to a friend and was wondering if I could keep Office on the PowerBook and also on the MacBook (I already have used the 2 other keys for 2 iMacs). Wikipedia stated this:

Despite the retail price of Office 2004, the Macintosh version lends itself to being pirated due to an exploitable flaw in the design of the application. Users have found that it is possible to simply copy the entire Office 2004 folder from one Mac and then load it onto another. While it retains the registration details of the original licensed user, the copied application is fully functional and does not require an activation key or installation process beyond merely moving the entire folder onto the new host computer

I was just wondering if it was ok to do this or if I would be safer buying a copy from eBay?

Thanks :)
Amy

Amy,

I'm sorry, but discussion of piracy in any form other than the academic is forbidden on MacRumors.

Please do not ask for this kind of assistance here.

Thanks.
