I work at a school district and one of our G4 eMacs was replaced with an intel iMac. All well and good, but now we have to start thinking about compaitiblity with some old software. Luckily it is only one machine so it serves as a good test case. One of our mac consultants we brought in for some server work said there were issues with Rosetta and Office v.X. Does anyone have any realworld experiance runnign v.X on an intel iMac? thanks

I use it all the time no problems to report.

It has crashed maybe twice in the last 3 months but that is what i was experiencing with it on a PPC mac.

It is slow to startup but that is because it is running under Rosetta, more ram helps a lot.

I really reccomend NeoOffice, it is a free office suite, much more suitable to the the average intel mac user. It is the aquafied version of Openoffice
