I think so. However, why don't you just go to Microsoft's website and see for yourself?
That was one of the first things I did, as well as numerous googles. However, Microsoft doesn't seem to acknowledge anything before Office 2004.
No, Office v.X was the first version of Office for Mac OS X, before Office 2004. As far as I know 10.1.9 is the last update for it. MS doesn't acknowledge it anywhere on their website, you have to scour the net to find a copy of the updater.
Thanks for clarifying that. The "latest version" is what threw me. I think he meant the earliest version. The latest version is Office 2008.
Exactly. That's the conclusion I came to, it's like v. X never existed according to Microsoft.
