office X to Word 2008

I have been using office X for years. Now I have downloaded Word 2008 for Mac. What do I do to keep the settings the same? My documents are not opening with the same formatting. I want 2008 to look the same as office X.

Word 2008 is commercial software and can not legally be downloaded. If you mean something else, please say so.

+1, You can definitely download it from the Microsoft website legally as a trial and purchase a serial later. Wouldn't be surprised if there was similar system for companies.

Edit: Sorry, cant help you with your actual question though OP. Never played around much with the settings

Do you mean that your documents look different, or that Office 2008 looks different?

If it's the former, what kind of formatting issues are you seeing? What format are your old documents saved in?
