Hi,

just wondering if the official iOS 4.2 is released for the ipad? I currently have the beta GM and itunes still hasnt asked me to update yet. Also i have the beta iTunes and it says itll expire in 27 days. what should i do?

Thanks,

Yes, it has been released. You may have to restore your iPad, or download it from another source, and upgrade using the 'option' trick in iTunes. However, step one should be to download iTunes again from Apple.com, install it, then maybe it will recognize the update.

TEG

Go to iTunes.com

Download iTunes 10.1 (it will overwrite your beta version)

Hit Restore when you have your iPad plugged in

It will download the public release version of 4.2

Then choose Restore from Backup (it should have backed up beforehand so pick today's date)

Have it restore and sync and you're all done.

In other news, Generalisimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
