Having had so many n00bs ask if they should hold off buying, I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to take a stab at what we will see. This is just a guess, and not based on anything the rest of you don't have access to. ( ;) )

iLife '05 with minor/major upgrades and "Sugar" - Def
Keynote 2 - Def
Asteroid - Def
iPod mini upgrade - Def
flash ipod/ipod cell phone - very likley
powerbook upgrade within g4 - very possible
super sub $1,000 PBg5 dual core 1900x1600 beast - no chance
something up Jobs' black sleeve - I think so (I always do)

Nows your chance to guess, have at it.

Software, I have no clue. Hardware...

PB speed bump. Pathetic bumps at that, nothing to get excited about.
iPod Mini capacity boost. Meh, 6GB? Again, nothing to get your panties in a twist over.
<edit>Oh, I'm sure the eMac will get something.</edit>

Sadly, that's pretty much all I'm expecting, but then maybe I'm just keeping hopes down as previously they've been dashed with past lack luster keynotes :(

We wait and see...:)

Oooo fun fun....

Ok, here's mine:

PB's - G4 upgrade, to 1.7ghz on the top end.
PM's - not at MWSF but shortly after they will announce the 3ghz
iMac/iBook - nothing.
eMac - Will get an upgrade, but I don't know if it will get the G5 yet... if it get's a G5 they will wait for the iMac rev/ B to come out... otherwise they might bump up the G4 speeds at MWSF, maybe both!
iPod - mini's go to 5gb and get better battery life. Flash iPod is announced. The HE-AAC will be announced.

And what's up Steve's sleeve... hmmm... well, I would likely guess it was either the Flash iPod or the Cell Phone... but since that's is seemingly common speculation, I will go with demonstrating PMs with a 2 core cpu, and announcing it's availibiltyfor late 2005/early 2006. All PMs will be at least 2x cpus, and there will be 4 cpu model available. I'm guessing a dual core 2ghz model as the low end, then a 2x single core cpu 2.5 and 3ghz's, and finally quad cpu 3ghz models, which will become the world fastest personal computer, for real this time. :)

Powerbook G5 15" and 17" at 1.8 Ghz and 2 Ghz using new low power G5 from IBM

12" Powerbook gets 7447B at 1.67 Ghz.

eMac G5 at 1.6 Ghz G5 970fx

iPod flash 512 MB and 1 GB models offered.

More hype with tiger

30 minute speech about how well the iPod sold during the holidays.

Actually like the past couple of years, we will see stuff at MacWorld and then every week or two, something new will get announced until a lot of the products have been upgraded.

I can also see an XServe upgrade at MacWorld or soon after.

Appleworks X with iLife
black g5 powerbook with isight built in
wireless firewire
Quicktime 7
new ipod mini design
and one more thing...?

While the first thing would be nice, I think Appleworks X if it has been majorly upgraded will still be sold seperately or the iLife price will wind up increasing.

And as for a Powerbook with a built in iSight - first of all, that would probably not work in the formfactor of the Powerbooks and secondly, a lot of places will prohibit you taking a camera in...so one on a laptop will make the laptop less usefull.

Here is what the cuban man thinks! :)

iLife 05' for sure
Keynote 2 for sure
Appleworks still stays on the back burner
sugar is a type of add-on to garageband

I didn't even know what Macworld was until I got my PB a few months ago ... are there typically a lot of products announced? Or is it usually like, 1 cool thing only (ie, last year's iPod Mini) and a bunch of things you knew were coming anyway (ie, iLife update)?

Ok, this is my total guess ...

For Sure:
iPod Flash
iPod Mini upgrade
Keynote 2
iLife 05
XServe upgrade

For Maybe:
eMac upgrade (just because I'm not sure it deserves the glitz of Macworld)
Powermac modest upgrade
Asteroid
Powerbook upgrade or price drop
Appleworks X
