Does someone knows what is the brand behind the memory include in the new MBP (early 2011). I heard about samsung but i'd like to be sure before upgrading with third party rams.

Than You

It's not always the same, sometimes it's hynix, sometimes samsung. Don't bother fretting about that, just buy something that's got a decent warranty and is the right spec. Apple doesn't necessarily use the highest quality stuff, just usually whoever will sell it to them the cheapest.

usually, I'd avoid the RAM Apple puts in their machines because it's so cheap anc crappy. Any reputable 3rd party ram - crucial, corsair, kingston, patriot, anything like - would be much better

pulled this out of my 2011 13" on tuesday and replaced with 8GB

Exactly This

Thank you everyone for these good advices.

Hynix never heard of them and don't think i'll stick with them.

I think i'll go with crucial ram since it seems to be the most recommended brand for its reliability.
