Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an application that will be basically a mapping application like Microsoft Streets & Trips, but will have all the maps in offline format, either on a CD or something.

Basically a maps application that you can use without needing a connection to the internet.

Thanks!

I searched and couldn't find anything.

Short of taking screen shots you can't really get offline maps.
But who knows, maybe someone will be nice enough to prove me wrong.

DeLorme used to have one, for OS 9 and previous. All the maps for all the streets in the country came on an optical disk, and the app would show them to you when you requested an address.

Garmin has been claiming for a couple of years that they'd be releasing something for the Mac, but I've never been clear on what that would be.

Good luck!

Tom

Bumping this old thread, hoping there's an app that exists for offline maps now.

I need offline maps for Canada, the US, South Korea, and China... couldn't really find anything after googling. :(
