I have some Ogg files and I need them to be in a file that is readable by Final Cut Pro... Do you all have any free suggestions on how I can do this? I keep trying to have VLC do it, but it was only able to change it to an MBG and that will not import in to Final Cut Pro for some reason

If you have the codec to play ogg files in Quicktime, iTunes can convert them. I did that once.

Transcoding with VLC will work as well.

That's what I thought... but VLC keeps putting it to MPG and not mp3 or anything...

Simply download the Quicktime component then convert to AAC or MP3 directly with iTunes.

Perfect!! worked great... Thank you so much... I wish editing on FCP wasn't this hard... I'm really trying to like FCP, but all i do is run in to problems like this... Now for VOB conversion because handbrake for some reason won't do it...
