I've got some audio for a movie that I need to convert from .ogg to .mp4 or .mp3.
I'm using VLC right now, but it's taking forever (real time, as in 1:1), is there a faster way?

I'm pretty sure there is a plug-in or something for itunes that allows you to upload .ogg files to it. I know because I have it (just don't know where I got it from). After you upload it, I like to convert it to ACC, but thats just my preferance. I'll try and find the link unless somebody else finds it first.

Edit: Found it - http://www.vorbis.com/

Yes, Audacity can do this too. Not having done this conversion in a while, I just did some experimenting with a one hour OGG file I have. SoX converted it in about 17 minutes on my 1.67 GHz PowerBook. Audacity took about two minutes to import the file, and then about 12 minutes to export it as MP3.

That will be good for future use, but I'm already using soX and am almost done with the conversion. I don't think Audacity could do much better though, since I'm running on an 800Mhz eMac (hahaha) :(
