I have two movies in .ogm format that I'd like to convert to .mp4 for my iPod. Is there any app for OSX that will do this for me?

I've never heard of .ogm but will ffmpegX do the trick? It seems to convert pretty much everything.

Welcome to my world

Hi there..

Ha ha....I was wondering if anyone else would encounter that issue...

I would like to welcome you to my thread...

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/180744/

Basically, it is really really tough to get your .OGM into a new format

FFMPEG X will not work....

.OGM is a container for the open source format called OGG.

I managed, finally, to get the video out of .OGM and into an AVI, by splitting the audio and video apart, and then rejoining them together.

My final post in that thread is how I did it. But, the video looks sloppy, but I got it out of .OGM at least !

It's tough...

Good luck.

yeah, other ppl have encountered that problem, you guys arent the only ones.

oh, and what did you mean by ""i might as well just buy it"?
seems like someone isnt doing what they should.... lol
