I've got a 15" MacBook Pro with a 2.16ghz Intel Core Duo and I haz spilled water on the keys!

Don't worry, it's not dead, it's been working for months, but the keys just don't want to work.

Only about 5 keys in the area of the spill are completely unresponsive, is it possible to exchange the keyboard and would it work afterward?

If it's just the keyboard that isn't working, consider yourself very lucky. The keyboard on those models isn't too difficult to replace if I remember correctly. Since it's just part of the keyboard that isn't working, my best guess would be that a replacement keyboard would solve the problem.

To be honest, I only used the spilled water excuse to hide my shame. You see I have this feral kitten I found on the side of the road and she wouldn't understand what a litter...you know what, I'm just not ready to let it out.
