Dear all

Well I have excelled myself this time with my lack of knowledge of computers (where's the typewriter!)

Some how I have managed to make my lovely bose speakers & bose headphones not work

I have gone to preferences & then sounds & check output. The only option it gives me is the internal ones on my imac, which I have tried to delete or chance to no avail

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS!!

Thanks in anticipation:confused:

Phil

Try this: open up GarageBand. If the keyboard doesn't show up, open up the keyboard. Using your mouse, play a couple of notes. Do you hear anything?

Occasionally, a program will interfere with your sound settings. This happens to me sometimes. Someone here, a long time ago, posted this simple solution.

Thanks for replying.

You will be pleased to know that I have got to the bottom of the problem. when I connected my USB memory card I knocked the speaker cable out of the Imac

How stupid do I feel!!
