oh GOD i need your help, buying iMas or Macbook Pro

im on the fence about getting a

-24" iMac 2.4 or...
-15" REFURBISHED 2.4 Macbook Pro

i have an old 17" powerbook and love the portability
but the imac is so nice a huge

these two computer are pretty much the same tho right?
does the macbook pro have a better graphics card???

what should i expect with a refurbished macbook pro??
