Well my letter "i" key died today and i don't know what to do. Will Apple replace it?

it's an aluminum wired keyboard.

Btw, i made this post by copy and pasting the letter "i" around. Also with the help of spell check.

I take it you've done a restart. One of my keys died but came back to life after a simple restart.

Since the aluminum keyboard was only introduced in August, 2007 it's clearly still within the warranty period so the answer is "yes".

In fact, if you call them and tell them that you really need the use of your computer for urgent business they may send your replacement out as soon as they schedule pickup for your broken one. Apple Japan has been known to do this anyway.

Good luck.

It just sounds like a keybinding problem or layout corruption. Make sure your HD is in good order and repair permissions, just to make sure.
