So I was happily playing Skate 2 on my PS3 (lalalalala) when it froze (eek!) so I restarted it and (crash!bang!bam!) got some happy "corrupt HD" error. And my heart sunk. PS3 restarted. Did some crap. Loading bars. More stuff. And I was greeted by the XMB. Ok, this looks normal. It found my Wi-Fi and logged into PSN. Check downloaded games. Ok, they aren't in my folders anymore, but it's all there. Check game data. Ok, that's there. Check save data. Ohhhhhh $@*!&$. That's empty.
So in short. My HD went corrupt and it only deleted my save data. My downloaded games are still there (but I had to reactivate them, they all had corrupt copyright protection), and my disk games work. Right now I'm syncing trophies, to see if they are all gone, and it's taking forever. After this I'm going to pop in LBP to make sure my DLC is still working.
