iPod OH-OH

I plugge my ipod (mini) into my powerbook to update and charge it and it beeped 2 fast waits a second beeps 2 more times and then it crashes while its in the middle of updating. Everytime I plug it in the same thing happens and the battery is low so I can't even turn it on without being plugged in.

hardware malfunction... hrm.. maybe not... did u do the cliche "menu plus middle circle button press for 5 seconds yah"?

ahhh, now when I go to iTunes, it says that the music library is locked or I don't have permission to access it. I cant get into itunes at all. I repaired permissions and checked itunes and it shows that I have permission for itunes, and for the music library.

What do i do???

What have you done?!
So itunes works now? I don't understand the last post!?
