Hi everyone,
I just noticed this and wanted to know if it's my phone acting up or not. Whenever I use the camera zoom (2x), if lighting is good enough it takes a second and switches from the wide angle to the telephoto lens, and the telephoto OIS kicks in (which is very noticeable).
When lighting is bad, I think the camera preview just shows the wide angle image digitally zoomed (because it has a larger aperture), and even though it is optically stabilized, it is much shakier.
The thing is, when I switch to portrait mode, it seems the phone is showing me the wide angle lens image rather than the telephoto, no matter how good lighting is. Is it the same for everyone?
iPhone XS Max
Thanks!
