"OK" instead of "View/Close" on text message alert window

I was on a phone call, on speaker, holding the phone away from me with the screen still on. I got a text message. However, instead of having two buttons to either view the text or close the pop-up, it just had one big button that said "OK". Not a big deal but I'm curious as to why my phone just did this.

Can't say I've ever seen an "OK" button for a SMS message. I've seen it with other notifications, but not a text.

Next time, grab a screen shot of it.
