here's the question yet again;

formerly in Leopard when I wanted to select groups of files in Finder I was able to press "Shift" and the arrow key (up or down) to choose the file that I wanted, the file above and the file below. If I try the same action in Snow Leopard it selects the entire row of files. I have spent the past 4 days trying to find a way to restore this feature. The way that it is now is totally useless to me and I am pulling my hair out trying to restore it.

Try using the Command key instead..
