I was clearing up some space on my HDD and found a folder with 7GB+ in it located at ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup. Files in it haven't changed since late 2010. Can I safely delete this folder? I could really use the space!

I was clearing up some space on my HDD and found a folder with 7GB+ in it located at ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup. Files in it haven't changed since late 2010. Can I safely delete this folder? I could really use the space!
That is your iOS backups. I would delete everything in the folder then backup your iPhone/iPad once and set a reminder to delete redundant backups every six months.
