On a 2019 MBP 2 USB-C is it ok to have a dock that plugs into the USB-C male poets and then have 2 external USB HDDs running from it? Both on battery and AC power?

Just I have 1 HDD for time machine and 1 for photos and music library and not sure on power issues etc.

This is dock I have, just a generic one I think

It's perfectly fine.
When running only from the battery there may be a problem if both of your HDD-s require too much power, but it will not be catastrophic. The HDD will just not spin up until you attach the power lead, but test it out :)

Thanks, yeh I only aim to do when powered up to be fair, as you say maybe too much on battery.

Just have 1 HDD for photo library, and another for time machine.

Thanks
