Ok so what about having an NFC chip inside the new iphone in order to make contactless payments. Being that Apple and Visa have recently joined together to make cases for the 3G & 3GS in order to make them contactless payment friendly it seems a little strange that they are doing a "retro" fit also that Apple have in the not too distant past patented literally hundreds of patents involving the NFC chip. I know Apple patent truck loads of ideas which never come to fruition but this many patents for the NFC? and with the Apple/Visa collaboration too?
I would use it most days travelling on London Transport where we use the Oyster card. This could replace thing like that. Hmm..
Tell me what you think?

We won't know if apple is going that route until June 7. Its not a bad idea I suppose, maybe a little cutting edge and being such, I tend to doubt that apple will embrace it so quickly.
